Refund policy

Swim by Elly does not accept returns or exchanges as all items are handmade-to-order in the colour, style and size of your choice.

Returns for an exchange will be granted if the item is deemed faulty or defective, given the item is returned within 14 days of the customer receiving the item, as defined in Australian Consumer Law. Swim by Elly reserves the right to deny returns or exchanges for such reasons as change of mind, wrong fit or not liking the style or colour choice. Swim by Elly also reserves the right to deny cancellation of your order due to change of mind or change of circumstances prior to your swimsuit being shipped out.  Please note processing times are estimates.

Please use the size guide, product descriptions and customer reviews when choosing a size. There is specific information in the item descriptions regarding sizing for each style. It is imperative that you measure and use your body measurements when purchasing custom swimwear.  Do not rely on your 'usual' sizing.

Please also note Swim by Elly uses Australian sizing which may vary from standard sizing in other countries. It is imperative that you utilise the size guides. Do not just order your usual size! 

If you feel you have received a faulty or damaged item, please get in contact via email.

Please be aware that due to the nature of swimwear fabric, lighter colours such as, but not limited to, white, blossom and green may become slightly sheer when wet. If this is a concern to you, please choose other colours. Lighter colours are also more likely to show the contours of your body (all your beautiful lumps and bumps). If this is a concern to you, darker colours and patterns are a safe and more forgiving option.

Swim by Elly is not responsible for any damage done to items after purchase, including damage or faults caused by washing machines or laundry products, such as but not limited to stains, bleaching or dye leaking, or damage caused by contact with chlorine, chemicals or hot/ thermal/ salt springs.

Our fabric is chlorine resistant up to 200 hours, after which time it may be subject to damage due to the extremely harsh nature of chlorine. Please be aware that public swimming pools and hot springs have extraordinarily high chemical chlorine levels and may expedite damage of your swimsuit. Please refer to our care guides to prolong the life of your swimsuit.

Updated May 31 2022: Returns are not permitted on 'Ready To Wear' items due to hygiene reasons. Swim by Elly reserves the right to deny returns or exchanges for such reasons as change of mind or wrong size. Please do not hesitate to contact hello@swimbyelly.com if you believe you have received a faulty item.
