Thank you for your interest in small, sustainable and ethical businesses like my own!
All the best,
Swim by Elly is a small business located in Geelong, Australia that creates handmade, sustainable swimwear. Every piece is custom made to order from recycled, eco-friendly fabric. ECONYL regenerated nylon fabric technology turns recycled ocean waste like discarded fishing nets from the bottom of the ocean into high quality swimwear fabric that is UPF 50+, ultra-chlorine resistant, durable and long lasting. The fabric is not only recycled, but it can also be endlessly recycled and given new life - this means it never has to go to landfill!
Swim by Elly is committed to sustainability in all aspects of the brand, from the fabric used, to eco-friendly fully recyclable packaging options, to using a 100% carbon neutral courier to deliver orders and a 100% carbon neutral electricity company to power the brand.
Fast fashion is detrimental to the environment and choosing sustainable options to prevent further damage is now more important than ever, however sustainable fashion is often hard to access and comes with a hefty price tag. This brand was created with the hope of giving you access to sustainable fashion at an affordable price, so that making sustainable choices is easy and effortless.
Swim by Elly is purposefully 'slow fashion' and all orders are made to order to your custom size, style and colour preferences with the hopes of reducing any excess waste that is usually associated with the mass production of retail stores. All orders are handmade to order with love by Elly, who runs Swim by Elly under ethical working conditions and is paid a liveable wage. Our patterns and colours are also custom printed in Australia and are totally unique.
I acknowledge that Swim by Elly operate on stolen land. I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Wathaurong land where I work and live. I pay my respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging. I celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land. Always was and always will be.
